critical CVE_2016_7262

What it means

An Excel cell formula resolves to an advised external DDE item whose service launches an executable.

Why it fires

This detector follows the workbook external-reference relationship and correlates a cell formula such as [1]!Name with the named, advised ddeItem in an externalLinks part. It only attributes CVE-2016-7262 when the linked DDE service is an executable such as cmd, PowerShell, or calc; ordinary DDE market/data feeds and unreferenced external-link parts are not attributed to the CVE.
