The sample is a macro-enabled Excel file that triggers a Workbook_Open event. This event uses `CreateObject` to instantiate `Wscript.Shell` and `Scripting.FileSystemObject`. The script then attempts to execute a batch file (`c:\programdata\jledshf.bat`) and a VBScript (`c:\programdata\sduoixo.vbs`), both of which are staged in `c:\programdata`. The VBScript appears to be a downloader, reconstructing a complex URL from concatenated strings: `http://goyaluaat.vmesha.in/0v6kcnky/CG/`, `https://mars.srl.pw/wp-admin/7Ffk6LN2X2W/`, `http://franmuler.es/mbx/8c5RBGjx6/`, `http://varafood.com/Ajax/cnM91G/`, `https://7jcata.com/wp-content/t/`, and `http://blog.centralhome.com/mbx/`. The VBA code also contains obfuscated commands and attempts to download payloads using `wscript.shell -e`.

  • ClamAV: Doc.Malware.Valyria-10004384-0 critical CLAMAV_DETECTION
ClamAV detected this file as malware: Doc.Malware.Valyria-10004384-0
  • Reference to Windows Script Host high SC_STR_WSCRIPT
    Reference to Windows Script Host
  • Workbook_Open macro high OLE_VBA_WBOPEN
    Workbook_Open macro
  • CreateObject call high OLE_VBA_CREATEOBJ
    CreateObject call
  • VBA p-code auto-exec with execution tokens high OLE_VBA_PCODE_AUTOEXEC_EXEC
Compiled VBA/cache stream contains an auto-execution token together with shell/download/object-execution tokens. This catches p-code-only or source-extraction-failure macro documents where visible source is unavailable.
  • Suspicious extracted artifact high EXTRACTED_FILE_STATIC_TRIAGE
One or more files extracted from inside this sample matched static suspicious-content checks such as script obfuscation, encoded payload blobs, packed data, or execution/download terms.
  • VBA macros detected medium OLE_VBA_MACROS
    Document contains VBA macro code
