The Document_Open macro executes a PowerShell command to download a second-stage executable from 'http://188.34.187.110/1234.exe' and save it as 'C:\Users\Public\7894651321486654123.exe'. It then creates a shortcut file 'C:\Users\Public\skeml.lks' which, when executed, will run the downloaded payload. The use of cmd.exe and GetObject indicates a malicious intent to execute arbitrary code.

-
ClamAV detection on extracted artifact critical EXTRACTED_FILE_CLAMAVClamAV flagged at least one file extracted from inside this sample. Even when the wrapping document carries no AV detection of its own, a hit on the carved artifact is a strong indicator the sample is a delivery vehicle.
